Empowering Nova Scotia Families
Welcome!
HSAO is registered non-profit society in Nova Scotia supporting homeschool families with affordable, community-based educational and recreational opportunities across HRM and beyond.
We are dedicated to providing inclusive, affordable, and enriching educational experiences for homeschooled children. We believe that learning extends far beyond textbooks, and we design weekly field trips, seasonal camps, and community events that foster curiosity, creativity, and connection. These activities also provide critical social opportunities for children, particularly those who are neurodivergent or thrive in alternative learning environments.
Trust
Vetted programming, background-checked volunteers, and transparent governance ensure your family's safety is our priority.
Learning
We provide homeschooling children and their families with broad and relevant learning enrichment opportunities.
Belonging
Build lasting friendships through peer support groups, family events, and a community that truly understands your homeschooling journey.
